PageRank-ed friendfinder

This is quite interesting I think:

It's like my FriendFinder only it uses a PageRank-like algorithm to weight 'votes' for suggested friends. It throws up a weird artefact right near the top, with the mysterious annedick hideously overpowered thanks I guess to being one of only two friends of Thomas Disch.

What would actually be more interesting would be a doohickey that compared your interests to those of every LJer out there to suggest those with the most shared interests.

I'm guessing there is no such thing, since the processing of it would likely be a bit of a bugger.

I have vague plans to add such functionality vis-a-vis the suggested friends on the FriendFinder. But yes, to do it across all LJ-space would be a bit demanding.
