Scott Adams of Dilbert fame is giving away the pdf of his book God's Debris. It's a sort of metaphysical fable about the meaning of life, so not exactly a barrel of pointy-haired-boss-related laughs I suspect, but sounds like it could be kinda interesting.

Adams is currently under the cosh for saying he doesn't believe scientists... only the most recent step in his odd journey from humorist to faux-philosopher by way of vegetarian burritos.

saying he doesn't believe scientists

Ah, but that's the great thing about science - it's not about belief.

He doesn't not believe science per se; he just feels he has no reason to give credence to the testimony of individual scientists -- fearing that they may be unduly influenced by considerations of career, funding, dogmatic bias, etc. And presumably he extends this scepticism to those involved in the peer review process, etc.

(So he claims, anyway, but it sounds a bit suspect to me!)
