Bonusprint

I raved last year about how convenient and reasonable Bonusprint's online development service was. Just sent off the ones from the (now not so) recent India trip, and was surprised to find that their pricing policy is more generous than I had expected. I was doing more than 250, so the price was 5p per print, but I hadn't realized this applies to all of them, not just to those beyond 250 -- so it's eg. actually cheaper in total to do 250 than 180.

OK, this is a very small thing, but it made my little world happy for a moment.

What size are they? At 12.50 for that number of prints, I could be quite tempted...

That's for 4 * 5.3" / 10 * 14cm.

Slightly difficult aspect ratio (i.e. not the one I mainly use)

They have "real" sizes, too.

4 * 6 is same price, if that's any better for you ;-)

That works for me, I'm still a "conventional" dude

I don't know if that's what most people would say ;-)

Price list

99p for 10+ 12x8 isn't too bad, either. No idea what the quality is like, though.

Bonusprint were usually considered one of the lower end of the market, few years ago anyhow.

Very cheap for 6x9 though, which could be useful, I guess I should do some test-prints.

They're not the most amazing quality prints, but mine are just holiday snaps so fine for that.

I don't think I've found an online place that doesn't do the "applies to all" pricing (I'd certainly have expected it to be a general thing). Calendars, for instance; it worked out cheaper to buy 20 than 16...

Weirdos! -- I guess it makes it easier to calculate...

[identity profile] bibliogirl.livejournal.com 2006-03-08 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
With one of my other hats on, when we give quantity discounts it applies to the whole order rather than to the portion of the order above the threshold where the discount kicks in. Otherwise you're right, it gets very confusing to calculate.

Standard pricing, I'd say. Bulk is usually cheaper, not just the ones that go over the amount.
