Agreed - who knows! Interesting that the Russian word for test is the same as ours ... both translates and transliterates. I am right in saying that aren't I? - not my strong suit - grammar, literature or languages. You once took me down a peg or two (in my over enthusiastic and exhaggerative youth) when you pointed out to me that Catallus wrote in Latin, not Greek! :-)
