Our new MP has only been in office a fortnight, and already there's a satirical blog devoted to reproducing his exploits as a lego figurine.

I'm not sure he should be supporting that particular pub, the Victoria, though -- that's just round the corner from me, and it was closed after repeated protest from the neighbours about racket, fighting, vandalism etc.

Hi! I´m Mauro Velasco from West Ham Spain blog. You left a comment on my blog and I´m grateful for that I leave another comment on your blog. I put your blog on my favorites. I´m really happy to have talked with an english hammer and now you know that there are Hammers around the world. Regards!

P.D: Sorry for my English, it isn´t very good.

Hi Mauro, thank you for visiting! Your English is much better than my Spanish ;-)

I hope that lots of other Spanish-speaking Hammers come to your blog -- we wish you every sucess. I'm interested to know, how did you become a West Ham fan?

Hi! I´m Mauro again. To answer your question, I started following West Ham when Davor Suker played there. Di Canio also fascinated me and then I saw a film about ICF, Green Street Hooligans.I have always liked West Ham for its history.

Suker was a great player, but sadly I don't think West Ham saw the best of him -- that was a strange period, when we had lots of international stars coming and going, without playing many games. Let's hope that whoever the next manager is, we can start adding to that history again!

Excellent.
Dear Benedict's election of course owes nothing to who his father is, does it?
How could the people of Ipswich be so blind?

It is quite strange. I did quite a bit of canvassing around this part of town, and found hardly anyone who had a good word for the idea. But I guess ancestor-worship turned out to be the love that dared not speak its name. (That, and LDs refusing to vote tactically to keep him out :-(

Oh dear God. Whilst I'd noticed the terrifying attempt by the Rees-Moggs to take over Somerset (happily only partially successful), and the proliferation of unwanted Johnsons, I had missed out on the Gummerisation of Ipswich...

Looks like we will have a hereditary House of Commons just in time to replace the Lords.
