BBC seems to think roughly the same: they say Trott is cover for Flintoff, and the selectors say he's there as a 6 batsmen option. I don't mind Swann at 8, *if* it's actually possible to take 20 wickets with Anderson/Onions/[Harmison or Sidebottom]/Swann plus Colly part time. My fear is that this looks plausible right up to the point where Australia are 350 for 2, but if Flintoff can't play then there's no use pretending that we should have *two* top-class all rounders unhurt and in form.
