Someone is joking on the internet

I was reminded recently how humour sometimes doesn't work on the interwebs. A sarcastic comment may just look like idiocy when unaccompanied by frantically wiggling eyebrows and other such facial gurning signifiers.

Research suggests this has been the case ever since the very early days of the internet, back in the Middle Ages.

You wrote the text, someone else wrote the web app...

If I minded it being shared I might just wrest the "hypocritical abuser of copyright" title from Disney.

On the subject of Disney and Abuse, Daredevil was on TV last night, and I was reminded that Disney are remaking Miss Marple with the actress who was playing Elektra.

I mean I had shuddered when I first heard about it, but watching her in action really brought home the full appalling horror of it.
