Cover albums quiz

Albums made up entirely of cover versions -- the homage of genius to genius, or a heap of self-indulgent tosh? Results vary, opinions differ, but the fashion for musicians who've reached a certain level of establishment to revisit an assortment of favourite songs seems to be eternal.

But it's not always easy to guess who might be keen to cover whom -- so here are a few examples for you to guess or recognize. Each question lists three artists -- the question is, who has released an album containing covers of songs by those three artists (and maybe others)? A point for the identity of the coverer, a further point for the name of the covers album. (Hmm, that looks quite complicated now I write it down... hopefully it makes sense!)

The reckoning

In the far-off days of last August, a a new football season nudged its shiny head above the parapet, I asked which teams people thought would be in the top 5 places come the end of the season.

Using a statistical technique I've just made up (undyingking's Rank Correlation Coefficient) that gives prediction scores as follows (small is good):
